The Electoral Commission has announced that the 2023 Voters Registration Exercise will commence on Tuesday, September 12th, 2023, and will run until Monday, October 2nd, 2023.
This exercise will take place at all 268 District Offices of the Electoral Commission.
In a statement released by the Electoral Commission, it was stated that individuals who have turned 18 years old since the last registration exercise, as well as those who were unable to register in 2020, should visit the District Office where they reside.

They will need to bring either their Ghana Card or Ghana Passport as identification.
For eligible applicants who do not possess any of the aforementioned identification documents, they are required to present two individuals who are already registered voters to guarantee their registration.
The Electoral Commission has emphasized that it is a criminal offense for non-Ghanaians (foreigners) and individuals who are below the age of 18 (minors) to attempt to register. Offenders, as well as those who guarantee for them, will be liable for prosecution.
Furthermore, the Electoral Commission has warned that guarantors who guarantee for more than the legally mandated number of ten (10) persons will also face prosecution.

The Electoral Commission is encouraging all eligible applicants to register and vote in the upcoming District Level Elections. They believe that active participation in the electoral process is crucial for a thriving democracy.
