The Founder, President, and CEO of Healthy Life Global Sportsplex, Mrs. Nikiel Winston, and the Mpota Traditional Council have cut the sod for the construction of a multipurpose sports complex in Gomoa Mpota, Central Region, Ghana.
The Healthy Life Global Sportsplex (HLG-SPx), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting leadership, cultural education, health, and sports enrichment, is extending its services to Ghana and the entire African continent.
During the sod-cutting ceremony held on Saturday, April 20th, 2024, a gathering of Chiefs, Queen Mothers, Opinion Leaders, Elders, Teachers, and dignitaries from the Mpota Traditional Council and the community celebrated the initiative.
Speaking at the event, the Chief of Mpota, Nana Appiah Badu VII, expressed gratitude to the Healthy Life Global Sportsplex Team for choosing their community for the project.
He emphasized the positive impact the sports complex would have on the youth and urged the community to support the endeavor.
He noted that the decision to bring the project to the Mpota community was based solely on the potential benefits it could bring to the youth and the entire community.
“We saw the vision and decided to embrace it,” he opined.
“This project will help everyone in this community, and hence, let’s support and give them the necessary support”, Nana Appiah Badu VII concluded.

Mrs. Nikiel Winston, during her speech, expressed her gratitude to God for leading HLG-SPx to the Mpota community.
She shared her passion for children, women, and the community, which ultimately guided her and the HLG-SPx Team to choose this path.
“It is always said, do not follow the path but go where there is no path to start a trail,” Mrs. Winston stated. “My path has led me to Mpota to start this project, it is just by His grace.”
Mrs. Winston also thanked the Chiefs and elders of Mpota for their unwavering support in making the project a reality.
She called on the youth and the community members to embrace the project and encouraged corporate individuals and benevolent organizations to support the initiative, highlighting the project’s potential to transform lives, especially those of the youth.
“This project will not happen overnight, but it will take time and the patience of the community,” Mrs. Winston added. “Businessmen and other individuals can also join.”

With the construction of the multipurpose sports complex underway, Healthy Life Global Sportsplex is set to provide athletes with a platform to explore their potential while also enriching the community with various programs tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
The facility aims to equip future leaders with the necessary tools and habits to live like champions, fulfilling the vision of the Healthy Life Global Sportsplex.
