The Public Relations Manager of the National Teaching Council (NTC), Mr. Dennis Osei, has confirmed that the pass mark for the 2023 Ghana Teacher Licensure II Exams remains 50%.

Speaking on the Agenda Show on Atinka National TV, Dennis clarified that the suggestion of increasing the pass mark to 70% was merely a recommendation.

However, he advised the candidates to focus on preparing for the examination rather than fixating on the pass mark.

Dennis emphasized that the most important aspect is for candidates to demonstrate their knowledge and skills effectively.

He also added that passing the exam requires adequate preparation and a good understanding of the subject matter.

The issue of increasing the pass mark from 50% to 70% caused a serious disagreement between the NTC and the Leadership of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG).

TTAG had been advocating for a reduction in the pass mark, and this confirmation from the NTC is good news for both TTAG and all candidates.

It is expected that the NTC will issue an official statement to clarify the pass mark for the 2023 Ghana Teacher Licensure Exams.

Candidates are advised to continue their preparations for the exam and stay updated on any further developments.
