Numerous trainees are reaching out to our outlet to find out if Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) will call off their industrial action, which began in June on Monday.
According to them, an information is circulating that CETAG will call off their strike on the aforementioned day.
Coleman Publications wants to state that our outlet has currently not received any information suggesting that CETAG will call off its industrial action on Monday.

Additionally, there is currently no official statement from CETAG confirming this.
Therefore, we urge trainees to remain calm until such an official statement is received.
The decision on the strike was actually to be taken by CETAG on Friday, determining whether they would call it off or not.

However, due to the government’s failure to sign the earlier agreement, as discussed in their meeting on Wednesday, CETAG could not hold their council meeting.
CETAG is saying that until the signed document is received, they will continue their industrial action.

In a related development, the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) has announced a press conference scheduled for Monday at 2pm to address the prolonged strike by CETAG.
Therefore, we urge trainees to remain calm until they see an official statement from CETAG regarding their industrial action.
