Komenda College Preschool has received a heartwarming donation of teaching and learning materials from former student Regina Ansah Boateng, now residing in the UK, and her granddaughter Harriet Hanson.
The donation ceremony was a celebration of Ms. Ansah Boateng’s long-standing dedication to early childhood education.
Having completed her studies at Komenda College of Education in 1972, she went on to a distinguished career in early years’ education in the UK, holding positions such as Senior Development Officer and Ofsted Registered Nursery Inspector.

Despite retiring, her passion for supporting children remains unwavering.
The donation included a wide array of learning materials such as mats, baby beds, pillows, car toys, a microwave, books, poster colors, play dough, flashcards, a magnifying glass, building blocks, and number pads.
The Head of the Early Grade Department and preschool coordinator, Madam Naa Kokor, expressed her profound gratitude for the donation, emphasizing its positive impact on the holistic development of the children.
“We requested help from well-wishers and stakeholders during the commissioning of the preschool. Today, we officially receive these items with immense gratitude and joy,” she stated.
“This support will significantly impact the holistic development of our children.”
She also pledged to ensure that the donated items are utilized effectively and care for them responsibly.

The event was graced by esteemed guests, including the College Council Chairman, Rt. Rev. Richardson Andam, the Principal of the College, Very Rev. Prof. Kwesi Nkum Wilson, Management members, staff, and the student body.
