The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has given approval to Senior High/Senior High Technical Schools (SHS/SHTS) students who have achieved the age of 18 and above to temporarily leave school and participate in the limited voter registration exercise.
The exercise, set to begin on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, and conclude on Monday, May 27, 2024, will be conducted at district offices of the Electoral Commission (EC) as well as in hard-to-reach electoral areas across the country.
Recognizing the importance of exercising their democratic right, the students have been granted a four-day break from campus, starting from Tuesday, May 7, 2024, to Friday, May 10, 2024 to participate in the exercise.
