Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has revised the end-of-first-term examination timetable for the second year students in the affiliated Colleges of Education.

The revision was made to ensure that Muslim students in the affiliated colleges can observe the Eid prayers without any academic interference.

Initially, the examination period was set from 26th June to 30th June, which would have coincided with the Eid Al-Alha celebration on the 29th of June. This raised concern for the Muslim Students Union, who called on the university authorities to relook at the timetable and reschedule the exams.

Acknowledging the plea of the students, the university authorities have revised the timetable to enable the Muslim students to observe the Eid prayer without any academic interference, and rescheduling the end-of-first-term examination to 22nd June to 28th June 2023.

The Muslim Students Union has also expressed their gratitude to the university authorities and their mother association – TTAG, for responding swiftly to their plea.
