The leadership of the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) has revealed that they have no intention of engaging in negotiations with the government.

According to CETAG, all necessary terms and conditions have been clearly stipulated by the National Labour Commission’s Compulsory Arbitration Awards.

CETAG further emphasized that if the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) believes negotiations are still required, they should direct their efforts towards the National Labour Commission (NLC) and not CETAG.

The leadership firmly stated that until the government adheres to the law and implements the orders issued by the NLC, they will not call off their ongoing strike anytime soon.

Despite claims by the FWSC that CETAG’s strike is illegal and an act of bad faith, the leadership of CETAG has refuted these allegations.

They assert that their industrial action is legally justified, urging members to remain steadfast and support their cause.
