The Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) has announced a rescheduling of their meeting with the National Labour Commission (NLC), which was originally set for January 15, 2025.
The reason for the postponement is CETAG’s prior commitment to attend a meeting with the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD).
The meeting with the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD), which will begin on January 16, 2025, will brief CETAG on the progress and current status of the government regarding their migration and other issues.
This meeting will also be attended by PRINCOF and other stakeholders and may last for approximately three days.
Due to that, the meeting with the NLC cannot take place as scheduled.
In a notice sighted by Coleman Publications, CETAG has therefore written to the NLC requesting a new date for the meeting.

On January 10, 2025, CETAG and the Colleges of Education Non-teaching Staff Association of Ghana (CENTSAG) were invited by the National Labour Commission (NLC) to a meeting scheduled for January 15, 2025.
The meeting was set to address the ongoing industrial action that has led to the recent adjustment of the reopening date for colleges of education.
CETAG resumed its industrial action on January 2, 2025, demanding the full implementation of their National Labour Commission (NLC) Arbitral Awards.

The association has urged its members to refrain from performing any official duties should the colleges reopen without their demands being met.
We hope that their meeting with the CAGD will yield positive results.
