Brief History About St. Ambrose College of Education
St. Ambrose College of Education is a teacher education college in Dormaa Akwamu (Dormaa East District) in the Bono Region, Ghana.
It was established in November 2009 by the Catholic Diocese of Sunyani and officially commissioned in January 2011.

In the 2016–2017 academic year it became a Public College of Education.
St. Ambrose College of Education is affiliated to the University of Cape Coast (UCC).

Admission Requirements
SSSCE Candidates:
Credit Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects including;
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Social Studies or Integrated Science
- In addition to three (3) relevant elective subjects.
WASSCE Candidates:
Credit Passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including;
- English Language,
- Mathematics
- Social Studies or Integrated Science
- In addition to three (3) relevant elective subjects.
