2024 BECE: GES Announces Dates for School Selection Process

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that the school selection process for the year 2024 is set to begin on Wednesday, 28th August and will run until Wednesday, 4th September.

In order to streamline the selection process, candidates will have the opportunity to confirm their school choices by texting a short code before the final placement is made.

The details of this short code, according to GES will be communicated to the public at a later date.

The GES has also announced that officers from the Headquarters will be present during the selection exercise to ensure its proper implementation and to observe the process across the country.

All stakeholders, including Metro/Municipal/District Directors of Education and Examination Officers, are urged to spread the word about this crucial exercise and to actively participate in the selection process.

Parents and guardians, in particular, are advised to pay close attention to the school selection exercise and to provide the necessary support to their children to ensure they are placed in their preferred schools.
