NDC Calls on supporters to withdraw from collation centres

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on its supporters to withdraw from collation centres.

In a press statement issued on December 10, 2024, the NDC extended heartfelt gratitude to its members, agents, and supporters for their unwavering vigilance and dedication during the 2024 electoral process.

The party praised their commitment to safeguarding the integrity of the process, describing it as remarkable and inspiring.

At this juncture, the NDC has requested all members who have dutifully stationed themselves at collation centres across the country to leave these centres and return home.

The party emphasized the importance of trusting the leadership and technical staff to manage the remainder of the process.

The statement revealed that the NDC leadership, along with a team of experienced professionals, is fully prepared and equipped to ensure that every aspect of the collation and declaration process is handled diligently and transparently.

The party assured its supporters that they are committed to upholding the will of the people and protecting every vote cast for the NDC.

The NDC urged its members to remain calm and confident as the party continues to work in their interest.

The statement concluded with a call for unity, resolution, and focus on the goal of securing victory for Ghana.

In a related development, President-elect H.E. John Dramani Mahama has appointed members of the 2024 Transition Team in accordance with the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (ACT 845).

The team will collaborate with representatives of the outgoing government to ensure a smooth transfer of power.

The Transition Team comprises experienced individuals from various sectors, including finance, governance, and public administration.

The appointed members are:

  2. Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia – Member
  3. Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey – Member
  4. Dr. Callistus Mahama – Member/Secretary to the Transition Team

  6. Prof. Kwamena Ahwoi – Member
  7. Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson – Member
  8. Hon. Mahama Ayariga – Member
  9. Hon. Goosie Tanoh – Member
  10. Dr. Edward Omane Boamah – Member
