Teacher Trainees in the forty-six (46) colleges of education across the country received an information concerning payment of two(2) months arears of their allowances

Many with their E-zwich Cards went to the bank to load and withdraw only to find out it was otherwise. This has made many presumed the information as false and a prank by the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana(TTAG) and Student Loan Trust Fund.

However, the Government of Ghana through the Ministry of Education has released an amount of GH¢57,460,000.00 to SLTF, covering feeding grants and students’ allowances to the forty-six (46) colleges across the country.

Student Loan Trust Fund has confirmed the said amount from the government and will commence disbursement.

STLF stated that the delayed in the disbursement is as a results of some colleges inability to submit credentials for the first year students.

Student Loan Trust Fund has therefore directed such colleges to submit their lists latest by Friday for the disbursement of the two (2) months arrears received.

Teacher trainees are however admonished to calm down as the allowances will hit their accounts soon.
