The Management of E.P. College of Education, Bimbilla, has issued an urgent directive to Level 400 students regarding the ongoing CETAG strike.
In a statement shared by the SRC Secretariat, students are required to report to their respective schools of attachment to continue their macro teaching practice with immediate effect.
Despite the suspension of formal supervision and project work due to the strike, the management emphasized the importance of students’ presence at their assigned schools.
According to the statement, this will ensure the prompt resumption of supervision and project work as soon as the strike action is called off.
“We strongly advise against staying at home during this period. It is essential that you continue your macro teaching and engage actively in your education. Remaining at home may hinder your progress and delay important aspects of your learning experience,” the statement reads.
The management encouraged students to remain dedicated to their educational journey and adhere to the instructions provided.

It can be recalled that the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) earlier, on January 12, 2025, issued a communiqué directing trainees, including final year students, to stay home until the ongoing industrial actions of CETAG and CENTSAG are called off and all their demands are met.
TTAG emphasized that the strikes initiated by the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) on January 2, 2025, and the Colleges of Education Non-Teaching Staff Association of Ghana (CENTSAG) on January 13, 2025, will disrupt the academic calendar if colleges resume without government meeting the teachers’ demands.
They cited the earlier strike by CETAG, which resulted in trainees wasting resources on campus without any productive outcomes, and so they don’t want such a scenario to repeat.

However, the release from E.P. College of Education reveals that the management does not agree with the directive issued by the trainees’ association.
