WASSCE Written Papers Begin today, Management of Ghana Education Service (GES) Sends a message to Candidates

The West African Senior School Certificate Examination(WASSCE) Written papers begin today, Monday 29th August 2022, at all the designated 775 centers across the country.

The Management of Ghana Education Service (GES) has written to congratulate all the 422,883 candidates writing the examination for their hard work and commitment so far.

They also expressed their profound gratitude to all Teachers, Heads of SH/TS, Directors of Education, Parents/ Guardians, and all Stakeholders for their crucial roles played so far in equipping the candidates for the examination.

Adding that, Management(GES) has worked very closely with the West African Examinations County(WAEC) to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations throughout the country.

Regional/Metro/Municipal/District Directors, Supervisors, and Invigilators are also admonished to take extra measures to ensure that this year’s examinations are malpractice free.

Management of GES equally urges all candidates to be extra conscious of activities that will have the potential of undermining the integrity of the examinations.

However, Candidates are encouraged to prepare well and strive for independent work, noting well the implications of misconduct during the examinations which could lead to suspension and/or cancellation of results, and the negative effects that development might have on their prospect’s future.
