New information has emerged regarding the payment of teacher trainees’ allowances, contradicting the Minister of Education’s announcement and earlier received notices.
Despite the release of funds for the payment as stated by the Minister, the Student Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has not yet received the money from the Controller General.
This discrepancy has caused frustration among the majority of stakeholders who are not being provided with accurate updates on the payment process.
In response to this situation, the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) has expressed their discontent and called upon all relevant parties to collaborate in order to expedite the payment.
However, due to the latest developments, it remains uncertain whether trainees will receive their allowances this month.
Despite the uncertainty, TTAG continues to exert pressure and advocate for the timely disbursement of allowances to teacher trainees.
