The Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education, Ghana (PRINCOF) has confirmed the new reopening date for the commencement of academic activities for the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year.
In a letter dated June 3, 2024, addressed to all staff, students, and stakeholders of colleges of education, PRINCOF announced that the reopening date for colleges of education is Sunday, June 9, 2024.
“We are delighted to confirm that the Colleges of Education will reopen for the second semester of the 2023/2024 Academic Year on Sunday, June 9, 2024,” PRINCOF stated.

Colleges of Education were initially scheduled to have resumed on June 2, 2024. However, PRINCOF postponed the resumption due to some critical issues they stated were affecting the smooth running of the colleges, which the government needed to address first.
PRINCOF, in the same release, noted that all the critical issues have now been resolved after their engagement with the Honorable Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).
“We are pleased to inform you that following our recent meeting with the Honourable Minister for Education and the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), the critical issues that led to the postponement of the re-opening date for the Colleges of Education have been successfully addressed”, PRINCOF revealed.

Students, staff, and stakeholders are urged to adhere to the revised schedule and prepare for the resumption of academic activities on the aforementioned date.
