Critical Issues That Led to the Postponement of the Re-Opening Date Resolved – PRINCOF

The Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education, Ghana (PRINCOF) has revealed that the critical issues that led to the postponement of the re-opening date for the Colleges of Education have been resolved.

In a letter addressed to All Staff, Students, and Stakeholders, PRINCOF revealed that the critical issues have now been successfully addressed after their meeting with the Honourable Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).

We are pleased to inform you that following our recent meeting with the Honourable Minister for Education and the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), the critical issues that led to the postponement of the re-opening date for the Colleges of Education have been successfully addressed,” PRINCOF stated.

PRINCOF expressed their sincerest appreciation to the Honourable Minister, Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, for his swift and invaluable assistance in resolving the challenges that led to the postponement of the reopening date.

His support and collaboration have been instrumental in paving the way for the smooth resumption of academic activities in the colleges of education,” PRINCOF asserted.

Therefore, colleges of education are now to officially resume on Sunday, June 9, 2024, to commence academic activities for the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year.

As a result, we are delighted to confirm that the Colleges of Education will reopen for the second semester of the 2023/2024 Academic Year on Sunday, June 9, 2024,” PRINCOF emphasized.

PRINCOF also noted that they understand the inconvenience that the initial postponement may have caused, however, they are committed to ensuring a seamless transition back to normalcy.
