The Principal of Komenda College of Education, Very Reverend Kwesi Nkum Wilson, has organized a lavish dinner to celebrate and honour the final-year students of the institution.

The event held on November 10th, 2023, was attended by Management members, Tutors, Deans, Head of Departments, and various individuals from the College Community.

Reverend Wilson, in his address at the dinner, highlighted the significance of the occasion.

He stated that the purpose of the dinner was twofold – to eat, drink, and give thanks to God for His guidance and blessings throughout the four-year academic journey of the final-year students.

Moreover, he emphasized that this tradition was not new to the college, as it had been a customary practice of the college’s management to organize such events for its departing students.

“This is not the first time we have organized such a program. We have been doing it, and we will continue to do so. However, this batch, holds a special place in my heart as the first group of students I admitted to the college. I must say, the Lord has been extremely gracious,” expressed Dr. Wilson with genuine appreciation.

During his inspiring speech, Reverend Wilson also imparted valuable advice to the final-year students.

He urged them to exemplify good virtues and emphasized the importance of time management.

“As you step into the world beyond these college walls, your success will greatly depend on the virtues you display,” he noted.

He further challenged them to make a positive impact in their chosen paths and encouraged them to strive for excellence.

Furthermore, the Principal addressed matters of personal growth.

He advised the students, especially the young ladies, to be cautious in their romantic relationships and to avoid rushing into marriage.

He emphasized the importance of making informed decisions before taking such significant steps.

Additionally, Dr. Wilson urged the students to seize any opportunity to further their studies, encouraging them to pursue higher education when the time comes.

In conclusion, Reverend Wilson expressed his profound gratitude to his management members, tutors, the matron, the cook, and every individual who had directly or indirectly contributed to the remarkable journey of these final-year students.

As part of the ceremony, the Student Representative Council (SRC) executives were honoured with certificates in recognition of their exceptional dedication and hard work in serving the college and their fellow students.

Additionally, the Home Economics Students presented citations to their tutors, accompanied by a thoughtful gift of a full set of ice-chest( brand-eskimo) to their unit.

The Unit Head, Mrs Victoria Doris Hayfron graciously received the item and expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the students for both the gift and the honor bestowed upon them.

Mr. Bedu Addo, on behalf of the Komenda Old Students Association( KOSA) congratulated the Students and shared their heartfelt message with them

The evening was filled with music from the Assai Band, delicious food, and heartfelt expressions of gratitude from the students.

Many of the students expressed their appreciation for the special occasion and for the support they had received from the college community throughout their academic journey.
