Performance Statistics Of the 2023 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination

The National Teaching Council (NTC) is set to release the results of the 2023 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) 2&3 on Thursday, December 21, 2023.

Statistics On 2023 GTLE 2 (Reform)

1. Number of Candidates: 20181
2. Total Pass: 10625 (52.6%)
3. Total Fail: 9556 (47.4%)
4. Pass None: 892 (4.4%)
5. Pass 1: 2641(13.1)
6. Pass 2: 6023 (29.8%)

Performance with respect to Core Subjects

Below are the Performances with respect to Core Subjects;

The Performance with respect to Core Subjects shows that those trained for Primary and Junior High Schools performed better than the other levels.

Performance with Respect to Elective Subjects (50% or more candidates passed)

The table above shows the statistics of individual subjects where 50% or more candidates passed. Out of 63 subjects, 53 recorded 50% or more pass rate

Performance with Respect to Elective Subjects (Less than 50% of candidates passed)

The performances of candidates in the above subjects were poor. Ten out of Sixty-Three subjects recorded pass rates of less than 50%.

Applied Electricity, Electronics and Physics recorded zero percent pass rate.

Statistics On 2023 GTLE 3 (Traditional Subjects)

The 2023 GTLE 3 has two categories of candidates. These are fresh and re-sit candidates.

Number of Fresh Candidates: 4724

1. Total Pass: 2130 (45.1%)
2. Total Fail: 2594 (54.9%)
3. Pass None 690 (14.6%)
4. Pass 1: 831 (17.6%)
5. Pass 2: 1073 (22.7%)

Number of Re-sit Candidates: 6756

Checking Of Results

All candidates can check their results from the NTC online portal at https://exams.ntc.gov.gh/ by using either their pins given during registration or their examination index numbers and phone numbers.

Candidates are advised to print their provisional certificates after checking the results
