Nurses & Midwives Begin Online Licensing Exams

The Nursing and Midwifery Council (N&MC) of Ghana has commenced its annual online licensing examinations, which will run until August 21st.

In an official statement released on August 2, 2024, the Council disclosed that a total of 23,037 aspiring nurses and midwives will be participating in the exams at 91 centers across the country.

This examination is in accordance with the regulatory standards set by the Council and is a requirement for all student nurses and midwives who have completed their training in accredited institutions.

In the statement, the N&MC assured candidates of its commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and fairness throughout the examination process.

The council also warned candidates to be wary of fraudulent schemes promising exam shortcuts or leaked materials, urging them to rely solely on official sources for study materials.

The N&MC further emphasized its commitment to ethical conduct, urging all invigilators and examiners to maintain the highest level of professionalism and integrity during the exams.

“Any compromise on examination standards will not be tolerated,” the statement reads.

For the duration of the Licensing Examinations, the council stated they are committed to serving the public throughout the examination period, with all its offices operating as usual during regular working hours.

“In the spirit of respecting our core value of being customer-focused, the Council would like to take this opportunity to inform our cherished clients that, all our offices are open and will remain open to serve you from Monday – Friday during working hours with exception of Public Holidays, during the period of the Licensing Examinations.”
