NSA Issues 30-Day Biometric Compliance Deadline for Service Personnel – Check Here

The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced a 30-day grace period for university graduates deployed for the 2024/2025 service year to complete their biometric validation.

The deadline, set for March 19, 2025, aims to enhance transparency and accountability within the National Service deployment process, aligning with the directives of H.E. John Dramani Mahama.

According to the NSA press release issued February 18, 2025, this measure affects 6,635 deployed personnel who, despite being posted since October 1, 2024, have yet to complete their final biometric validation at their respective Regional Offices.

According NSA, Failure to comply within the grace period will result in the automatic nullification of their registration and posting, as stipulated by the NSA Act 2024 (ACT 1119).

“This action aligns with NSA Act 2024 (ACT 1119), which stipulates that personnel who fail to report to their assigned agency within three months of posting are considered to have evaded service,” the release stated.

The NSA emphasized that going forward, all deployed service personnel must obtain user agency acceptance within 90 days of posting and report to their respective Regional Offices with their Ghana Card for final biometric validation within the same timeframe.

NSA Director-General Felix Gyamfi urged compliance: “It is imperative that all affected personnel take advantage of this grace period to complete their biometric validation. This is crucial for them to remain in the National Service program.”

Furthermore, the NSA clarified that deployed service personnel will not be placed on the payroll until they have successfully completed biometric validation and presented themselves at their assigned district for monthly evaluation.
