Information received by Coleman Publications reveals that the National Service Allowance for the month of August 2023 has been paid to all personnel.
However, the news is not as positive as expected, as it was discovered that the promised GH¢715.00 has been reduced by GH¢25.00.
This unexpected deduction has left many national service personnel disappointed and frustrated.

They expressed their disappointment in the ongoing deductions from their allowance, which they classified as “illegal and forceful.”
The personnel who reached out to Coleman Publications are calling on the government to address this issue and ensure that they receive their full allowance without any further deductions.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time such a deduction has occurred. In recent times, there have been instances where the government has deducted money from the national service allowance without any prior notice or explanation according to the personnel.
This has caused much distress among personnel who are already struggling to make ends meet.

Furthermore, it was also revealed that the NSS arrears based on the new increment from January 2023 to June 2023 have still not been paid.
Additionally, the allowance for September 2023 has not been paid either. This situation has left many personnel in a precarious financial position, as they struggle to cope with the high cost of living.
In light of these developments, the national service personnel are calling on the government to pay all national service allowances in arrears promptly.
