The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the National Association of Service Personnel (NASPA) has issued a statement to address concerns and misleading information regarding the ending of the current service year and the commencement of the 2023/24 service year.

The NEC expressed its gratitude to all service personnel across the country for their dedication and selflessness in contributing to the nation’s growth so far.

The release stated that there have been news reports from undisclosed sources stating that the “2022/2023 NSS Group will end in August 2023.” However, the NEC finds this information to be misleading and inaccurate.

According to the NSS Executive Director’s statement, the current service year will conclude in October, with the 2023/24 service year commencing in the same month.

The NEC advises all personnel and prospective personnel to rely solely on information confirmed by the NSS or NASPA. These two entities serve as the official sources for any updates regarding the NSS, its associates, and personnel.

The NEC encourages all personnel to stay informed through official channels to ensure accurate and reliable information.
