The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) held a productive engagement with publishers and content creators/writers on the new SHS, SHTS, and STEM Curriculum on February 13th, 2025, at the British Council in Accra.

The interactive session provided a platform for stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of the new Secondary Education Curriculum’s design, structure, and content.

Professor Yayra Dzakadzie, the Director-General of NaCCA, led the presentations alongside Mr. Reginald George Quartey, Director for the Curriculum Directorate, and Madam Joana Vanderpuije, Director for the Instructional Resource Directorate.

The presentations offered an in-depth overview of the curriculum, explaining its framework, subject combinations, assessment strategies, and content integration. Facilitators highlighted the curriculum’s focus on enhancing competency-based learning and fostering critical thinking among students.

“Our goal is to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the 21st century,” stated Mr. Quartey.
