KNUST Warns Applicants Against Admission Scam via SMS

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has issued a warning regarding fraudulent messages being sent to applicants for the 2023/2024 admissions.

The messages claim to offer admission and demand payment of Gh¢2,550.00 through a malicious link.

In response, the university has clarified that it has not yet begun processing applications from holders of the West African Senior High School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE).

The processing of these applications will commence after the release of the 2023 WASSCE results by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

The public is urged to be cautious and not to fall victim to such fraudulent activity or fraudsters.

Additionally, the university reminds the public that official communication is conducted through the university’s website www.knust.edu.gh and its social media networks.
