The Ag. Secretary of the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) has revealed in a post shared with members that the scheduled online meeting between CETAG and the Minister of Education, which was supposed to take place on Monday, 21st August 2023, has been cancelled.
However, he stated that there is a possibility of the Minister of Education communicating with CETAG through the Principals on Tuesday, 22nd August 2023, regarding the outstanding issues of the staff audit report and leave.

Additionally, the Ag. Secretary disclosed that both the President of PRINCOF, Prof. Samuel Atintono, and the Director for Tertiary Education at the Ministry of Education, Prof. Yayra Dzakadzie(PhD), have confirmed that the arrears for the Conditions of Service (CoS) and the August salary have been received for validation.
The validation process is expected to be completed by August 22nd, 2023.
Furthermore, the compensation, as directed, according to the secretary will be processed for payment next month.

It is important for trainees and other stakeholders to note that until an official communication is issued by CETAG, the ongoing strike by CETAG remains in force.
