ITECPD Implements Changes in Teacher Trainees Examination Format

The Institute for Teacher Education and Continuous Professional Development (ITECPD) has recently announced changes that will affect teacher trainees in affiliate colleges of education.

As per the new requirements, trainees must take notes to prepare for their upcoming examinations.

The examination will consist of six subjective questions, and trainees will be required to answer any four of their choice. The questions will be marked out of a total score of 25.

Later, the grades for the four answers will be scaled down to 40%. It means the final grade will reflect the best four subjective answers by trainees.

The changes in the examination format indicate that there will no longer be any objective questions. Therefore, students must improve their writing skills to achieve higher marks rather than relying on memorization or recall techniques.

The ITECPD aims to encourage trainees to focus on critical thinking, comprehension, and report writing skills.

That is, the new format emphasizes critical thinking skills and independent study techniques, which are crucial for professional learning and development as a teacher.
