The Ghana Education Service (GES) has started the process of the Inter-Regional and Inter/Intra district repostings for the year 2023.
The management of GES has sent out a communication to Regional/Municipal/District Directors to bring to their attention the commencement of the process.
For staff in the GES seeking inter-district or inter-regional repostings, the process remains unchanged. The assurance letters, which serve as proof of releasing the staff, will be issued between the 17th of May, 2023 and 19th June, 2023.
The issuance of the letters provides an opportunity for staff to take time to sort out their transfer to a district or region of their choice. The Inter-Regional reposting applications will be processed starting from the 5th of July, 2023, to be effective from the start of the next academic year in September 2023.
The Regional Directors are responsible for compiling and forwarding to the GES headquarters, a list of staff who have been given assurance in their region. The compiled list should be sent latest by the 31st of July, 2023, and any document received after this date will not be accepted.
Furthermore, the staff seeking reposting can only be released after the Director-General approves and issues the reposting letter to the applicant. This process ensures that the reposting system is effectively managed to reduce fraud and other malpractices.
