The Ghana Education Service (GES) has extended the permission period for SHS/SHTS students aged 18 and above to participate in the ongoing limited voter registration exercise.

In a letter dated May 9, 2024, and addressed to all Regional Directors of Education, GES cited challenges associated with the registration process as the reason for the extension.

The initial permission period granted by GES for the students to participate in the registration exercise was from May 7 to 10, 2024.

However, due to the technical issues and operational difficulties that have slowed down the registration process, GES has extended the permission period until Tuesday, May 14, 2024.

This extension is to ensure that all eligible students who have not yet registered do so before the deadline
