GES Commences Sensitization on School Selection Guidelines for SHS

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that it will commence sensitization and education on this year’s guidelines for school selection into Senior High Schools (SHS) on Friday, August 18, 2023.

The exercise will take place in all respective Regional, District Education Directorates, and schools.

In a statement released by the management of GES, stakeholders, particularly parents, candidates, and teachers, were urged to take an active interest in the selection of schools processes to ensure a smooth placement this year.

The selection of schools is scheduled from August 23 to September 4, 2023.

Parents and guardians were advised to pay close attention to the selection of schools processes to avoid any issues during the placement exercise.

Additionally, candidates will have an opportunity to confirm their school choices before actual placement is done through a short code. Details of the shortcode will be made available in due course.

The GES management assured all stakeholders that they are committed to ensuring a transparent and fair placement process for all candidates.
