The 2022/2023 Academic Year for Colleges of Education affiliated to the University of Education, Winneba, commenced on Monday, 30th January 2023 with ‘fresh’ and continuing second-year students reporting to campus.
With adequate preparations, the Leadership of the various colleges of Education has put in measures to welcome their freshers as well as the continuing students.
The atmosphere at Komemda College of Education was unprecedented as the Dean of Students Affairs, the Dean of Academic Affairs, The Hall Wardens, The Assai Security, and the Students’ Representative Council peacefully received the freshers and took them through the necessary registrations and inspections.
Some of the items inspected include; Covid-19 vaccination cards, brooms, cutlasses, hoes, brushes, and other vital items defined on their prospectus. After Successful Registrations and inspections, the Protocol Team patiently assisted them to their various allocated Halls of Residence.
Directed by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission(GTEC) to admit only 292 students for the academic year, the majority offered admissions by the college have reported.

With a few left, the college is set to begin its orientation service on Wednesday, 1st February 2023.
Some of the freshers who spoke with our News Team expressed their appreciation to God for the opportunity to be part of the college community.
“It’s a dream come through as I have applied on several occasions, it is this year that I had it. I am grateful to God for the opportunity”, one fresher stated.

Some also asserted their utmost goal at the college is to have good ‘academic life’ hence they are focused on putting up their maximum best to end up with better classes.
