The Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) has revealed that their decision to suspend or continue their industrial action will be made on August 19, 2024, through a voting process.
This decision comes after a meeting with the Office of the Vice President on August 15th, where the Vice President expressed commitment to resolving their outstanding issues.
While the Vice President’s Office appealed for the strike suspension and assured CETAG of its support, an emergency council meeting on August 17th by CETAG failed to reach a consensus on ending the industrial action.

The outcome of the vote will be announced by Monday evening.
