The National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education, Ghana (PRINCOF), has debunked the claims made by the National Service Authority (NSA) regarding the lack of accreditation or expired accreditation for certain Colleges of Education.
In a letter dated 27th February 2025, PRINCOF revealed that the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has renewed the accreditation of all Colleges of Education up to August 2028.
“As such, all graduates from these colleges are eligible to register for their mandatory National Service without hindrance,” the letter reads.
“We acknowledge the challenges some of our graduates are facing in accessing the National Service Authority (NSA) registration portal due to alleged accreditation issues. We understand the concerns and frustrations of the affected students and wish to assure you that PRINCOF is taking this matter seriously.”

In addition to addressing the registration challenges, PRINCOF expressed regret for any inconvenience or embarrassment caused to the colleges and graduates.
“We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work towards a resolution. PRINCOF remains committed to protecting the interests of our students and ensuring a smooth transition into their National Service duties.”
