As Earlier reported, the end-of-first-semester examination questions for level 100 students in colleges of education affiliated to UEW are set to take a different format in 2023.
The Institute for Teacher Education and Continuous Professional Development (ITECPD) has announced changes that require level 100 students to take notes before sitting for the exams.
Accordingly, trainees in affiliated colleges should prepare for an exam consisting of 6 subjective questions which they will be required to choose and answer 4 of them. Each question will be marked out of a total score of 25, and the grade for the four questions will be scaled down to 40%.
It is worth noting that there will be no objective questions in this exam format. Therefore, students should focus on developing their writing skills rather than relying on memorization or recall techniques.
The rationale for this new format is yet to be made known. Our news desk will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary.
Hence, we encourage you to follow our pages closely and stay informed.
