A growing number of trainees have been contacting our front desk, inquiring about ‘a said court hearing’ that took place today regrading the strike action by CETAG.

To clarify recent reports, it is important to note that CETAG was not involved in the said hearing that took place on 26th June, 2024.

Instead, it was between the National Labour Commission (NLC) and the government. The NLC had taken the government to court in response to the government’s refusal to comply with the NLC’s directives.

Despite the court hearing not involving CETAG, the association, the government, and the NLC are scheduled to hold a meeting on 27th June, 2024.

During this meeting, they will discuss the events that transpired during the NLC’s court hearing with the government and the way forward regarding the Industrial action.
