The Cape Coast police have taken into custody the Adisadel College student who was caught on camera assaulting his fellow student.

After being granted bail, he is scheduled to make an appearance in court on Friday, July 28, to answer for his widely condemned actions.

According to reports, the arrest took place on Wednesday, July 26, where the suspect was cautioned with causing harm and assault before being released to the school’s headmaster.

The headmaster will be responsible for producing him in court on the designated day.

The viral footage captured the suspect subjecting his fellow student to a heartbreaking assault.

The perpetrator held the victim by the neck, rendering him helpless, and proceeded to forcefully hit his face against a hard wooden bed in their dormitory.

As a result, the victim’s face instantly swelled up, highlighting the severity of the attack.

In response to the incident, the school authorities took immediate action and suspended both the victim and the assailant.

However, this decision triggered outrage among Ghanaians, as it seemed illogical to penalize the victim in addition to the perpetrator.

The public demanded justice and accountability in the handling of this case.
