The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a directive to heads of schools to accept both handwritten and electronically prepared lesson notes in both printed and email forms.
This move comes in response to reported misunderstandings regarding lesson note preparations between heads and their teachers.

In a statement released on 17th January, 2024, the GES stated, “Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has become aware of some misunderstanding between heads and their teachers in some schools in respect of lesson notes preparations.”
The GES has therefore instructed all Regional Directors to bring the directive to the attention of District/Municipal/Metropolitan Directors of Education to ensure that all heads of schools, both at the Basic and Second Cycle levels, accept both handwritten and electronically prepared lesson notes
