Cain’s Sacrifice to God was Never Rotten Fruits| SEE DETAILS|

The first example of Sacrifice in the Bible is found in the account of Cain and Abel.

When Cain and Abel, the first sons of Adam and Eve, presented their sacrifices before the Lord, Abel’s sacrifice was accepted whiles Cain’s was rejected.

We have been made to believe Cain’s sacrifice was rejected by God because he offered rotten fruits.

This is never true! There is nowhere stated in the Bible that Cain presented rotten fruits or vegetables to God as a sacrifice!

And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the LORD. Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering. Genesis 4:3-4 NKJV.

You see? It was never stated he offered rotten fruits! The verse said, “he brought an offering of the fruits of the ground”.

Do not forget Cain was a farmer and the best he can offer was proceeds from his labor! And that is exactly what he did!

Then she bore again, this time his brother Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. Genesis 4:2 NKJV

Get the fact straight today; CAIN NEVER OFFERED ROTTEN FRUITS TO GOD! It is not stated anywhere!. I believe it’s ideas people are reading into the reason why the LORD rejected his offering.

Why Did God Reject Cain’s Sacrifice?

Cain’s offering was rejected because it was not blood sacrifice like Abel’s. Remember,

God, had by then instituted the animal sacrifice due to the fall of their Parents-Adam and Eve, by covering them with garment of skins!

Remember, it is only when an animal is killed that the skin can be used.

The LORD God made garments of skins for Adam and his wife, and clothed them. Genesis 3:21 NSAB

Which sounds to reasoning the only sacrifice they have been taught by their Parents was animal sacrifice!

So, where exactly did Cain learnt the sacrificing of fruit to the LORD God from?

This is the million question we must seek answer to! That might also be another reason for his rejection!

Cain was practicing something which wasn’t in existence then!

Summary

Apparently, Cain never offered rotten fruits to God as we have been told.

His offering was rejected because there was no life(Blood) in it.

Similarly, Cain offered something(fruits) which has not been instituted or permitted to be used for offering by the LORD.

This is a clear indication of disobedience.
