The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) of the Republic of Ghana has announced the opening of its portal for applications for its skills training program.

The program aims to recruit 20,000 young people into 10 artisanal professions and provide them with the necessary training and starterpacks to start their own businesses.

Professions include Auto Works, Carpentry, Hairdressing, Glazing works, Plaster of Paris (POP), Painting, Plumbing, Beauty Care, General Electricals, Steel Works, Welding & Fabrication.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the program, applicants must be Ghanaian youth aged between 18 and 35 years.
They must also demonstrate a strong passion and dedication for skilled work and be willing to undergo a training period to acquire the necessary skills to establish their own venture.

Deadline
The deadline for applications is 18th December, 2023.
It is important to note that the application is open to all qualified persons at no cost.
