The SRC Women’s Commissioner of Wiawso College of Education, Miss Joyce Tawiah, has held a day intensive skills training program for students in the college.

The event took place on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the college auditorium, and aimed to provide valuable skills to the participants.

The participants were trained in a wide range of skills including multi/DSTV installation, wig making, makeup artistry, shower gel and liquid soap preparations.

To ensure the best learning experience for the students, Miss Joyce Tawiah and the SRC selected a team of experts in each field who dedicated their time and expertise to ensure that the participants were able to grasp the skills effectively.

The highlight of the program was when the participants were allowed to showcase what they had learned.

They were challenged to demonstrate their acquired skills to check their understanding and proficiency in each area of training.

In an exclusive interview with Coleman Publications, Miss Joyce Tawiah revealed the motivation behind organizing this free skills training program.

Miss Joyce Tawiah explained that it had always been one of her visions to empower her fellow colleagues with practical skills that could provide them with a means of livelihood while they are still in school.

Joyce emphasized the importance of having multiple streams of income as a teacher and encouraged the participants to explore various avenues where they could utilize the skills they had acquired.

She firmly believes that in today’s competitive world, possessing practical skills and versatility can significantly enhance one’s financial stability.

Furthermore, Miss Joyce Tawiah expressed her gratitude towards the expert trainers who selflessly dedicated their time and knowledge to ensure the success of the program.

Participants of the training also expressed their gratitude for the initiative taken by Miss Joyce Tawiah.

Many of them acknowledged that with the skills acquired, they are making plans to set up independent businesses to ensure prompt utilization of the skills.
