The Upper Primary Education Students Association (UPESA) of Komenda College of Education has once again shown its commitment to democracy and excellence by electing new executives to steer the affairs of the association for the 2022/2023 academic year.
The election was conducted online through a voting platform mounted by the association to ensure that all members could participate conveniently and safely.
A total of 294 students reading Primary Education from Level 100 to 300 participated in the virtual election, which was held on Monday 3rd April, 2023, from 6am to 6pm.

The election ended with Albert Appiah Mensah and Daniel Mensah emerging as the President and Vice President respectively.
This is a clear indication of the trust and confidence that the members have in their leadership skills, as they prepare to take charge of the association’s activities for the next academic year.

The UPESA Patrons and Patroness, who monitored the election process, were impressed with the full participation of the members in the virtual voting process.
This shows that the association is committed to promoting student participation and involvement in its activities, even in the face of the double-track system the colleges are running.

As the new executives assume their leadership roles, they are expected to work collaboratively to promote the academic, social, and personal development of their fellow students and the association.
They are to also maintain a good working relationship with the college authorities to ensure that the association’s activities align with the overall goals and objectives of the institution.
