In a heart-wrenching development, the New Nsutam Senior High Technical School in the Abuakwa-North District of the Eastern Region has witnessed the unfortunate death of an 18-year-old student, Abigail Asare.
According to sources, Abigail, a second-year student, met her alleged boyfriend, Emeka, during the mid-term break, which ultimately led to her untimely demise.
The Incident Details:
On the morning of Friday, June 2, 2023, Abigail visited Emeka’s shop, which is located in the same community. Minutes later, Emeka abruptly left the shop, leaving Abigail behind. It was at this time that a customer discovered Abigail’s lifeless body on the floor, drenched in blood from wounds caused by a knife attack.
Police Response and Investigation:
Upon being informed of the tragedy, the police arrived at the scene and notified the Kyebi Divisional Police Command, who quickly dispatched officers to commence investigations. Abigail’s lifeless body has been sent to Kyebi Government Hospital for preservation and autopsy, to aid in the ongoing investigations.
The Suspect’s Whereabouts:
Emeka, the alleged boyfriend, is reportedly of Togolese origin and has gone missing since the incident. Despite the authorities’ efforts, he has yet to be traced and apprehended. The police are working tirelessly to locate Emeka and garner more information about the events that led to Abigail’s brutal death.
