The Ministry of the Interior has declared Thursday, 11th April, 2024 as a Statutory Public Holiday to mark the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
The release was signed by the Minister for the Interior, Henry Quartey (MP), on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024.

Eid al-Fitr, also known as the Festival of Breaking the Fast, is an important festival celebrated by Muslims worldwide.
It marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, during which Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset as a way of self-discipline, spiritual reflection, and devotion to Allah.
The Ministry of the Interior aims to provide an opportunity for every Muslim citizen to celebrate the Eid al-Fitr with their families, friends, and fellow community members.
