The final-year Students of Komenda College of Education have begun their 4 months of Extended Supported teaching in School programme( internship).
The programme which forms part of the requirement for the awarding of their Bachelor’s Degree started on Monday, February 6, 2023, with a total of 432 trainees of the college posted to the various Basic Schools in the KEEA Municipality and where their services were needed.
The rationale behind the extended teaching is to aid student-teachers to have a fair knowledge and the requisite mastery of the ‘job’. They will teach, plan and prepare lessons, and assess. It also serves as the platform where trainees gather information for their action research.
