In a shocking turn of events, the resignation of Hon. Cecilia Abena Dapaah from her position does not mark the end of the controversy surrounding her.

The NDC Communicator for Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency, Abraham Henry Konning has opined that she must face the full rigorous of the law as her resignation means nothing.

He wrote, “The hardships inflicted upon us by this insensitive administration have reached excruciating levels, with numerous unresolved financial issues plaguing our nation.

It is deeply troubling that NABCO personnel have been deprived of their stipends for over eight months, school feeding grants have been in arrears for more than a year, Buffer Stock Suppliers are being owed for over two years, and cocoa farmers are not receiving payment after selling their produce.

Additionally, road contractors are left unpaid for their services rendered to the nation for years, resulting in asset confiscation, convictions, and even untimely deaths due to extreme pressure from creditors.

Furthermore, it has come to our attention that the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) has collapsed, while government appointees are allegedly hoarding large sums of dollars and euros in their personal residences.

This raises the alarming question of why Hon. Cecilia Abena Dapaah is reported to be keeping significant amounts of foreign currency in her own home without depositing it in a bank.

Such acts not only violate the Financial Management Act but also demonstrate a flagrant disregard for principles of effective monetary transactions and good cooperative governance practices.

As a minister who should inherently be aware of and adhere strictly to the Act, she has clearly breached her duty. Therefore, it is imperative that she undergoes thorough interrogation and, if found guilty, faces the full weight of the law.

We, the people, demand a swift and comprehensive forensic investigation by the Special Prosecutors Office to uncover the hidden truths surrounding this matter.

Ghanaians are currently enduring immense suffering under the NPP government, and we require every single penny of taxpayer money to be utilized for essential purposes such as supporting free SHS education and settling arrears within the National Health Insurance scheme.

Let us stand united in our pursuit of justice, as we seek a prosperous and corruption-free future for our beloved homeland, Ghana.”
