The Chaplaincy Board of Komenda College of Education headed by Reverend Wilson Kortey Kotei on 9th January 2022 held its first “Divine service” to welcome freshers and continuing level 300 Students back to the college.

Dignitaries in attendance include The Principal of the College Reverend Dr. Kwesi Nkum Wilson, The Acting Vice Principal, Theophilus Kweku Bassaw, Deans, Heads of Departments, Lecturers, Teaching and Non-teaching staff as well as the Students Representative Council headed by His Excellency Magnus Edward Awortwe.

The Chaplain – Reverend Wilson Kortey Kotei who was the preacher for the day spoke on the theme, ” The Holy Spirit, Our witness”. He enlightened the audience on Who the Holy Spirit is and Why the Holy spirt.

He also admonished the students to live a Christ-like life as they are back on campus as Christians and believers.

Education cannot take you to heaven, The Certificate(A4 Sheet) will not take you to heaven! The only thing that can is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal savior and live like him”- he added.

The Dean of students Affairs-Madam Sophia Efua Cobbinah during her announcement emphasized on the need for the leaners to adhere to the Safety Covid-19 Protocols outlined by the Ghana Health Service.
