Komenda College of Education has held its first Community Service for the 2022/2023 academic year.
The program which was held on Sunday, 5th February 2023 at the College Complex Hall brought together the entire management staff, the teaching and non-teaching staff, the LA Creedy Church, individuals from the community, and the student body.
The community church service has been part of the college’s activities over the years, and it is held at the beginning and end of every semester.
Brief Sermon by Very Reverend Kwesi Nkum Wilson(PhD)
Speaking on the theme; “The True Way of Life”, the Principal, Very Reverend Kwesi Nkum Wilson(PhD) urged the congregation to live a righteous life that is worth emulating.
He stressed the importance of living a life that shines brightly, rather than hiding one’s good deeds under a bushel.
Dr. Wilson also admonished the freshers to take their academics and related activities seriously by putting up good behaviors, adding that anyone that comes to the college shines and it is up to them to adhere and live by ‘the true way of life’.
‘Gaining admission to Komenda College of Education is just one step of God’s plan for your future and family. You may be the first person to have entered a university in your family, Seize the opportunity by working harder to change the family’s narrative, and the generations after you will be proud of you. Pursue the true way of Life and it will be well with you” he expressed.

Very Reverend Dr. Kwesi Nkum Wilson continued his discourse by advising both the freshers and continuing second-year students to start reading widely about their courses for the semester as that is the only means to avoid examinations’ malpractices.
“To avoid examination malpractices, start reading early and remember a ‘true light’ does not cheat”
He concluded by lauding his management members, teaching and non-teaching staff for their tireless, selfless, and hard work in the 2021/2022 academic year. He prayed to the Lord to bless and replenish them.
Nevertheless, he encouraged them to continue working harder as the college celebrates its 75th Anniversary next month.
Eucharist
The Service moderated by the College Chaplain, Reverend Wilson Kotey Kotei was filled with the Word, Worship, Hymns, praises, and prayers. It came to an end with the Holy Communion.
Freshers expressed their Gratitude to God by singing and dancing for successful admissions.
