In a show of support for education and the pursuit of academic excellence, the Ebenezer Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana at Sefwi-Asawinso, under the Sefwi Presbytery, has generously donated 42 mathematical sets to the candidates of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) at Asawinso M/A Junior High School ‘B’.
Reverend Vincent Kpakpa, the Asawinso District Minister and the Resident Minister of the Ebenezer Congregation presented the sets on behalf of the church.
He emphasized the church’s commitment to human development and its recognition of the significance of education. Consequently, the church decided to provide support to the BECE candidates by donating the mathematical sets for their examination preparation.
Reverend Kpakpa highlighted that, over the years, the church has been providing mathematical sets to its own members who write the BECE.
Additionally, they have consistently extended the same support to the BECE candidates of Asawinso M/A Junior High School ‘B’ for the past three years.

Furthermore, he advised the students to remain honest in their endeavours, cautioning against engaging in any form of examination malpractice. He emphasized the importance of relying on their knowledge and skills to perform well in the examination.
Expressing their gratitude, Mr. Thomas Afful, the headteacher of Asawinso M/A Junior High School ‘B,’ extended his appreciation to the church leadership for their continuous support and contributions over the past three years.
He acknowledged the significant positive impact of the donations, noting that they have contributed to the school’s improved performance in the BECE.

Understanding the importance of mathematical sets during examinations, Mr. Afful pledged to ensure that the candidates make proper use of the donated materials, to make the church and the community proud.
The candidates themselves expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the church for their benevolence. They acknowledged that not all candidates have the means to acquire these essential mathematical sets. Hence, this donation is a tremendous help to them, enabling them to participate fully in their studies and excel in the upcoming examination.
