
The Student Representative Council (SRC) President of Wiawso College of Education, Mr. Owell Mintah, has been suspended from his position due to allegations of neglecting his duties and breaching the trust of the student body.
The decision to suspend Mr. Mintah was made in accordance with the rules and regulations outlined in the student handbook.
According to the management of the college, Mr. Mintah failed to follow proper procedures in forming committees and making decisions on behalf of the SRC.

He also allegedly committed procurement infractions and created confusion within the SRC executive.
Additionally, Mr. Mintah was conspicuously absent during the SRC week celebration, further contributing to the tensions within the student leadership.

A statement issued by the college reveals that the Dean of Student Affairs and other SRC executives attempted to resolve the issues with Mr. Mintah, but he was reportedly unreachable and failed to attend scheduled meetings.
As a result, the decision was made to suspend Mr. Mintah and swear in the Vice President of the SRC to temporarily assume the duties of President.

A Discipline Committee is said to be formed to investigate the allegations against Mr. Mintah and make recommendations to the college management.
